Join us for the FWR Recycling in Action Open Day and learn about the waste and recycling industry and what’s going on in our State.

The FWR Recycling in Action Open Day will be a Queensland first – providing the opportunity for the local community to engage with industry.

See up close and learn about the equipment and technology used to process the items that you put in your red, yellow and green bins. Find out what happens to those materials once they leave your street and see some of the products that can be made from them.

There will also be machinery demonstrations, seminars and education for ‘kids’ of all ages.

Entry to the Recycling in Action Open Day on the Museum’s forecourt is free. If you wish to visit The Workshops Rail Museum, usual Museum entry fees apply
